OUR ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET

February 20, 2010

Our awards banquet just gets to be more fun every year!  Thanks to everyone who contributed items to the door prize tables, who brought drinks and some of the best desserts ever. Thanks to Chris and to Virginia for taking pictures (you can run but you can't hide from two cameras!).  If there's a photo here you'd like to have, simply right-click on it. You'll get a drop-down box which invites you to "Save Picture As." Select that choice and save the photo as a jpeg in whatever folder on your computer you like. Or, let Chris know, and she'll print a 5x7 for you for just $4.00. Also, if you have pictures of your own that you'd like to add to the album, send them to Chris and she'll put them on.

Where would we be without our Top Hands? Thanks for all you do to  Tonya Eastwood, Timmy and Tammy Moye,  Charlotte Kassnove and Alan Worley

Madison Blackmon is our Rising Star this year, and oh, how brightly she shines!

Just when we thought it was safe, Rusty Godwin resurfaced with his Golden Poop Scoop to salute the Stableman of the Year. After bringing the house down with his Top Ten list of reasons not to select those whom he called up onto the stage, Rusty waxed eloquent in describing his choice of Morris Pollock  to receive this year's honor. You picked a winner, Rusty! Not pictured is Ned Cunningham, who was running late. Rumor has it he ran out of gas.

Congratulations to Kelley Kassnove, our Most Improved Rider!

He's sure quiet about the nice things he does for folks (most of the time), but we notice. And that's why Timmy Moye is this year's Good Samaritan.

It bodes well for NC01 that our Family of the Year is the Worley Family.  We're pleased and proud that they're ours!

This year's Top Gun Rider was without question Megan Bridgers. Our Top Gun Horse, ridden by Paige Shelton, is Money.

Gosh, what an end to last season Courtney Smith  had. But she's showed us all how to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep going. That's why she's our True Grit Award winner this year!

In addition to our Top Hands, there are those who toil happily behind the scenes every week just because they can and because they really want to. Our deep thanks go out to Tonya Eastwood, Billie Jo Rouse, Charlotte Kassnove, Shara Volk, Susie Rouse, Rose Bass, Tammy Moye, Chris Palmer and  Jenny Holmes.

Congratulations to our Member of the Year, Tammy Moye!  If ever there was a member so deserving of this award, it's Tammy. Even after retiring as district director, Tammy is right there in the middle of anything that needs doing. Thanks so much, Tammy, for all you do!
